Myffie James graduated from University of Canterbury in 1988 with a BSc in Biology, she then trained as a teacher graduating in 1992. After enjoying a busy few years teaching and travelling, children occupied a large part of her life from 1997.
During this time she continued to develop her massage skills and became passionate about Holistic Pulsing. In 2004 she graduated with a Diploma from the NZ Holistic Pulsing Guild. Cranial Sacral Therapy and The Journey also piqued her interest.
She practiced part time from her home in Nelson and dipped her toe into teaching Holistic Pulsing and massage.
Meanwhile curiosity drew her to the Hakomi method of psychotherapy, which overlaps the principals and methods of Holistic Pulsing. In 2014 she graduated from the NZ Hakomi training and is currently working towards Certification in the Hakomi method.
See HAKOMI, for more information.
Myffie continues to practice part time from her home clinic and also from the Woman’s Centre in Nelson. She lives with her husband and two teenage daughters.
